They must deposit fees in the hospital coffers, while making sure they don't run out of cash to operate the facility. By combining all the resources mentioned, a player must coordinate them together in such a way that the maximum number of patients are healed within the budgetary allocation. Players need to buy inventories such as fire extinguishers, benches, drink machines and radiators. That means you need doctors, nurses, handymen, receptionists etc. Another challenge is that players must staff the hospital with enough manpower to help patients recover. In order to ensure that you save patients from the imminent death, players need to build rooms that will perform certain diagnostics and curative functions. You must stay within the budgetary constraints while making sure you heal the highest number of patients. In short, no matter which way you choose to look at it, you're the only person in control of a very very sick hospital. The hospital staff want to assume the role of doctors and nurses together. Patients here have some very weird ailments. We've seen players turning cures into cash to help the situation when the going gets tough. The problem is that there are very few resources to do this, so the player must be creative in how they use the available resources. Now, the latest edition of this game requires players to design, maintain and manage a hi-tech hospital facility. Theme hospital presents a situation that could only be described as a matter of laugh and death. Only the courageous and persistent will tackle it. ![]() Just like the title suggests, it's a Hospital game with many challenges to face and problems to solve. However, if you haven't, then you have many reasons to find out what the game is all about. Have you had a chance to play Theme Hospital? Well, if yes, you are lucky.

![]() A new football adventure was a lifeline for this awkward 15-year old. We would occasionally venture off to other grounds, such as Leicester’s Filbert Street and The Dell at Southampton.īy 1988, we were spending less time together, so he suggested we visit all 92 league grounds. I was desperate to get my birthday mentioned in lights on the huge scoreboard. I loved seeing him becoming more engaged in the weekly drama and sometimes joining in with the old lady who sat next to us, as she needled the opposition manager. We spent a season watching Watford gain promotion to the First Division, under Graham Taylor, in 1981-82. The experience set me on a path I’m still on to this day.ĭad’s interest grew. But through a friend who knew Arsenal midfielder David Price, he secured two tickets for Arsenal v Ipswich Town at Highbury. My father wasn’t a natural football fan, and I don’t think he had been to a match before I started pestering him with my love for the game. I was seven and a half when I went to my first match. My grateful dad handed over £10 to buy them both a couple of drinks and we were back on our way – the two of us, to Oakwell and beyond. With super-human strength, they lifted the car from its resting place and back on to the road. They may have been bemused, but they recognised how desperate we were to get to the ground. Despite the pouring rain, we managed to flag them down, and told them of our odyssey. Help came in the form of two Barnsley fans. It was football that had inspired this trip and it was football that got it back on the road. As well as Paul Mariner or Ian Rush, I wanted to be Craig Madden or Trevor Senior. I would re-enact the previous weekend’s goals in the garden on my own, taking the scant details from Match magazine - all the way down to Bury v Reading in the Fourth Division. I would write down all the season’s transfers in my Rothmans Football Yearbook. Panini sticker albums were my pride and joy. I had been obsessed with the sport since I could remember. It was a journey my father and I had mapped out, to indulge my thirst for all things football. We were stuck outside of a town neither of us knew, trying to reach yet another of England and Wales’ 92 Football League grounds. Oakwell, the home of Barnsley Football Club, seemed a long way off now. No mobile phones, no apps to contact a rescue service, no sat-nav to tell us exactly where we were. Not quite in an ‘Italian Job’ style, but we definitely weren’t going anywhere fast. ![]() We got out and found he’d reversed over a steep dropped kerb, and the back of the car was dangling over the edge. ![]() What is happening is the cooling system is simply overfilled. Often customers will report their system boiling over at temperatures of 220 degrees or lower, and as we outlined above, this isn’t possible. Cooling hoses, your heater core, water pump gaskets/seals, and more all become stressed at these higher pressures, which is why we prefer and only sell radiator caps rated at 15 psi for our radiators.Įngine Coolant Boiling Point vs Pressure Chart Can You Overfill a Cooling System? You must remember it isn’t just the cap we’re talking about here, but the complete system. So, you may be asking yourself why not just install a higher rated radiator cap at 18 or even 21 psi? While yes, this would raise the boiling point further, the extra pressure places a tremendous amount of strain on the rest of the cooling system. While no one likes to see a temperature that high on their dash gauge, with a properly functioning system 240 degrees is not harmful. In our stopped traffic scenario at 240 degrees, we will be able to prevent system boiling. Now if you add the 15 psi radiator cap to the same system, we have increased our boiling point to 268 degrees Fahrenheit as we stated previously. We prefer electric cooling fans but even with a mechanical fan you must ensure the fan is properly spaced within your fan shroud using a fan spacer. ![]() Pressurized or not, air flow through the radiator is critical to maintaining system temperatures. They are simply conditions of the cooling systems capability, the ambient air temperature, and air flow. Remember, none of the above running temperatures have anything to do with the cap rating. The loss of coolant would eventually fill the radiator with air and the temperature would rise even higher. Now the temperature starts to rise to 240 and without a pressurized system the coolant would boil and spew all over the place. This is not a problem either, but then traffic stops, and you can’t move. Then on a hot day the coolant temperature goes to 200-210. For example, let’s say your classic car normally runs at 180-190 and boiling is not a concern. The real purpose of pressurizing your cooling system is to give the vehicle a higher operating zone in case of extreme conditions. A cooling system using a 15 psi radiator cap will add 45 degrees to the boiling point for a final boiling point of 268 degrees. A standard coolant mixture of 50 percent water and 50 percent ethylene glycol (such as our own DeWitts High Performance Coolant has a boiling point of 223 degrees. ![]() Now let’s talk the same pressure advantage but in an automotive application. We have now increased the boiling point to 257 degrees instead of 212 degrees. If the pressure goes up to 15 psi, then we have added 45 degrees to the water’s boiling point. The boiling point of the water increases three degrees for every 1 psi the pressure goes up. The water will expand and create pressure inside the cooker. Now let's take a pressure cooker and do the same thing. The water heats up and boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Let’s take a pan of water and heat it to a boil. But before we go any further let’s discuss boiling points and what it means for your cooling system. We highly recommend updating your vehicle to use an expansion tank of some sort if it currently just vents to the ground, such as our universal expansion tank available in several sizes to fit most any engine compartment. This is the cap’s relief point, at which the pressure exceeds the cap’s designated pressure rating and vents the pressure to atmosphere, either through a drain hose right to the ground (often seen in classic cars) or to a recovery/expansion tank. Depending upon the original application you will see original radiator caps rated for anywhere from 13 psi up to 18 psi. The cap’s pressure rating has nothing to do with regulating your engine’s coolant temperature, nor will it make your engine run cooler. We are asked this question daily and most people misunderstand what the pressure cap does. ![]() If r(A) ≠ r(A, B), then the system is inconsistent and has no solution. If r(A) = r(A, B) If r(A) = r(A, B) = number of variables, then the system is consistent and has unique solution.Let r(A) and r(A, B) represent the ranks of matrices A and. The lines of numbers going from left to right are the matrix's rows the lines of numbers going from top to bottom are the matrix's columns. Matrices are often represented by capital roman letters such as A in place of v. A matrix is a square or rectangular grid of values, surrounded by square brackets. The top-left cell is at row 1, column 1 (see diagram at right). The rows are each left-to-right (horizontal) lines, and the columns go top-to-bottom ( vertical). In mathematics, a matrix (plural: matrices) is a rectangle of numbers, arranged in rows and columns. Specific entries of a matrix are often referenced by using pairs of subscripts, for the numbers at each of the rows & columns. ![]() The ideal period to encounter the highest number of species is between March to April and September to November across all the habitat types. Moreover, capture efficiency of pitfall traps can be affected by climatic factors and habitat types of Abu Dhabi Emirate. Our findings indicate that to study ground dwelling invertebrate species, pitfall trapping is an efficient method. The highest diversity of arthropods was recorded from a site Wadi Tarabat, followed by Al Wathba Wetland Reserve (AWWR) and Abu Al Abyed. The arthropod fauna was recorded to be highly diversified in different habitat types, but the number of individuals were not evenly distributed across the study sites (H) 1.10, (E) 0.53, Shannon Diversity Index). On average 37.5 ± 3 (mean ± SE) species were recorded every month from all the study sites and number of species did not vary significantly across the months (df = 11, F = 0.48, p = 0.91 one-way – ANOVA). The order Coleoptera (beetles) was recorded to be the most dominant order with 46 species followed by Hymenoptera (ants, bees & wasps) with 24 species. A total of 36,238 individuals of ground-dwelling arthropods of 121 different species belonging to 14 orders and 46 families were recorded from all the study sites using pitfall traps. During the study period a total of 94 monitoring visits were made to collect data from the pitfall traps at five sites in Abu Dhabi. During the present study, conducted between March 2009 and March 2015, pitfall trapping was undertaken in five study sites of different habitats in Abu Dhabi Emirate. Pitfall trapping is an efficient self-sampling method for capturing epigeal arthropods for ecological and faunistic studies. |
